Compassion is a Christian child sponsorship charity with over 50 years experience of working with some of the poorest communities across the world. Compassion takes children living in extreme poverty and, with the help of sponsors, provides them with an escape route from poverty and the means to create a viable future. Compassion- sponsored children tend to grown up with a real heart for the needs of their communities. They often become informed influential leaders.

Compassion works in partnership with churches in 23 of the world’s poorest countries. At present more than 680,000 children are attending Compassion programmes where their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs are met.
